In this day and age of ever changing prices, keeping your recipe costings up to date has become a time consuming operation. Busboy aims to change that and make it easier to keep your recipe prices and costings up to date, freeing you to concentrate on the rest of your business.
Once you have created a recipe and set your desired gross profit and tax rate for that specific recipe, all you need to do is keep the list of ingredients, packaging and production costs updated and Busboy will do the rest.
Recipes
Recipes are the heart of Busboy.
Creating recipes in Busboy is easy, you set the description, servings, gross profit and tax rate. You then add the necessary ingredients, packaging and production costs.
Busboy calculates and displays the cost price for each section as well as the overall cost price and cost price per serving. The selling price is calculated using the cost price, gross profit and tax rate and is kept up to date with any changes you make to ingredients, packaging, production costs, gross profit and tax rate.
You can now also scale your recipe servings up or down to suite your needs and Busboy will keep your costings, selling price, ingredient amounts and packaging amounts synchronised.

Busboy calculates the cost price per unit using the quantity per pack, quantity, pack size, yield and cost price.
When adding ingredients to recipes you get to make a selection from the units of measure you setup for the specific ingredient.

Production Costs
Production costs can be used to track labour, electricity, water, etc, basically anything that is used in the production of the recipe.
You set the description and unit or hourly cost. These production costs can then be added to each recipe allowing you to cater for the costs when working out the total cost of a recipe.
